Short But Not So Sweet

With the Eclipse film coming out very shortly, It was not surprising that Stephanie Meyer released another book in the Twilight Series. Stephanie was so intrigued by one of the newborns named Bree Tanner, who is mentioned in Eclipse for a good one page, that she began writing a whole point of view of Eclipse in the devil red eyes of this newborn vampire made to kill Bella and company by the evil Victoria. This is by far my favorite Twilight book even though its an eclipse novella and not really a whole novel. First of all, readers do not have to read Bella's whining and sometimes annoying narration like in the other books. Bree is a character everyone can relate to and you go through the journey of what its like to be a vampire made to kill instead of the "vegetarian" ones we are used to reading about. All though readers of the series know the tragic ending of Bree, the novel still pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. I recommend this novella for all Twilight fans and even people who are not that into Twilight because lets face it, Bella can be obnoxious! Another good thing about this book is that One Dollar from each book sold will be donated to the American Red Cross. So while you are reading The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner you can feel good for giving back to charity!

A4L Beauty Review: Ocean Salt

All though Ive watched so many reviews on Lush products on youtube, I never really looked into it. Well now that Ive step foot into a Lush store, I realized that my life would not be complete without their Ocean Salt Scrub. Since my skin is pretty sensitive and acne prone, I was a bit hesitant on using a new product. The Lush consultant explained that all of their products are organic and that it should not irritate my skin at all. I decided to go for it and I am so glad I went for it. The salt in the formula works as a great exfoliater, especially for dry skin. After you use this product for a couple days, you notice a natural glow in your skin and it makes your skin feel fresh and makes it look lighter. Ocean Salt is a must and I am looking forward to trying out Lush's other face products as well as their infamous soaps. You can get Lush's Ocean Salt on their website at, www.lush.com and at your local lush counters and stores! Ocean Salt comes in two sizes, $19.95 for 4.2 oz and $34.95 for 8.8 oz.

THE BIONIC WOMAN

Music Review: Christina Aguilera is back this time mixing it up with fun dance songs like the ones featured in her first album during her Geenie in a Bottle days to ballads like ones in her sophmore album Stripped. I know that she came back with an in your face video, which you could watch above but Christina should not be getting so many harsh reviews. She has been in the game for so long that I wouldn't go around saying that she is a Gaga wannabe, she is just influenced by Euro pop and has a futuristic image that has been made famous by Gaga but in her defense it is what is in right now especially in fashion. Now that im done with that, the music begins with futuristic beats and suggestive language which is okay for an almost thirty year old woman to say. I love that even though she is a wife and mother she still keeps it Dirty, the middle of the album is full of lovely ballads co writen by Sia and still keeps it raw without making the album another mindless pop one. The end of the album ends perfectly with "Vanity" a song about loving yourself and features a little dialouge by her adorable son Max. All in all this album makes the list of my favorite albums of this year! Keep it up XTINA, you still got this fan mama!

Dirty Little Secrets

TV Review: The show based on the New York Times best selling novels, Pretty Little Liars premiered last tuesday on ABC Family. The show did not dissapoint at all; not only is the plot as juicy as some of my other faves, it is also has a cast full of up and coming stunning actresses. If you did not read the series here is a quick sypnosis: Five high school girls are best friends and everything seems perfect until one of the girls, Alison goes missing. Unfortunately when Alison left, she took all of the other girls secrets with her causing one of the others or an outside source to ruin her before she reveals the truth abut each girl in the clique. Now it is a year later and the four remaining girls get text messages hinting about their secrets ending with an xoxo A (Very Gossip Girl), so the big question is who is this A that is following them around and is Alison really gone? For the answers of these questions, you have to tune in with the rest of us every tuesday on ABC Family. Also, Piper rom Charmed is in it, the theme song is Secret by The Pierces andthe creators are the same as the amazing Vampire Diaries, so you can not go wrong there.
